Abdi Aktaş (born May 1, 1975 in Izmir ) is a Turkish football player . Due to his long - albeit intermittent - playing time at Tavşanlı Linyitspor , he is a crowd favorite there and also enjoys great respect from those responsible. He is therefore also called "Efsane Kaptan" (German: "Legendary Captain" ).
Career
Aktaş began club football in the youth of Karşıyaka SK and rose in 1994, equipped with a professional contract, in the professional squad. Here he was loaned to Çanspor after the pre-season camp and then a season later to Bandırmaspor . In 1996 he left Karşıyaka and went to Malatyaspor . In the following years he played in various clubs in the lower professional leagues and partly in the amateur area.
In 2009 he hired the then third division club Tavşanlı Linyitspor and rose with this team at the end of the season as the play-off winner of the TFF 2. Lig in the TFF 1. Lig . Also in the 1st Lig he was one of the top performers, which is why his contract was extended several times despite his old age.
Since Linyitspor carried out a revision in the team squad in the summer of 2013 and also intended to rejuvenate the team, Aktaş's contract, which expired in summer 2013, was not extended. He was informed by the club's board that he could continue to work as a coach at Linyitspor if his career ended. Aktaş turned down this offer and instead moved to the second division Istanbul Güngörenspor . At the start of the next second half of the season he returned to Linyitspor. After the relegation of Linyitspor in the 2013/2014 season , he moved back to Kütahyaspor . After 21 appearances, he left Kütahyaspor and was initially without a club, for the 2016/17 season he moved again to Tavşanlı Linyitspor.
