Abdul Basir Salangi is an Afghan politician. He has been governor of Parwan Province since May 6, 2009 (currently August 2011).

On August 14, 2011, according to the Afghan Interior Ministry, 25 people died and 37 were injured in an attack by at least one suicide bomber and several armed attackers on his official residence in Charikar . A security meeting with foreign participation was just taking place. Most of the victims are civilians. According to hospital reports, there were 16 dead and 29 injured. Most of them are government employees. The Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack.
