The building is located on the east side of Abendstrasse in Magdeburg's Neue Neustadt district , directly at the junction of Abendstrasse with Ritterstrasse.

Architecture and history

The three-storey brick building was built around 1880/90. The facade is representatively structured by plaster elements and designed in neo-renaissance forms . The facade of the first floor is decorated with rustik elements. Above the windows of the piano nobile are Fensterverdachungen.

The building is a relic of the Wilhelminian style development on the street and, together with the buildings in Abendstrasse 10 and 11, forms a group that shapes the street scene.

The building is listed as a residential building under registration number 094 82797 in the local monument register.
