According to Jan Sievers, the lyrics are very personal, but cnet.com finds that they and the music are gloomy and powerless, the song 20,000 men perform "with the concentrated power of a lukewarm chamomile tea". Laut.de praises the "clarity and conciseness" of his texts.

Jan Sievers explains the title by drawing an analogy to a teddy bear :

“The teddy bear that you carry with you as a child, on the street, in the playground wherever you go, has received a lot of love from you for years. You can see that too ... Seams are burst, arms or button eyes are missing. In my eyes it has been passed off, it has received a lot of positive love. The pieces on my album too, they received a lot of love, both in terms of content and attention to detail. "
