Abraham Elias model
Abraham Elias Model (died 1760 in Harburg ) was a Jewish court factor in the county of Oettingen .
Life
Model came from a family of Jewish court factors belonging to the Margraves of Ansbach . He was the grandson of Marx Model in Ansbach .
Around 1730 he had a residential and commercial building with rich furnishings built in a central location in Monheim , which is now used as the town hall .
In 1739 Model was appointed by the Prince of Oettingen-Wallerstein as a “Cabinets and Cammer Factor” because of many years of useful service. This gave him priority over any competitors in all stately business. Model was involved in the Graeflich Oettingische Fayencenmanufaktur , where he lost a lot of money in the unsuccessful company.
In 1741 Model settled in Harburg because of the expulsion of the Jews from Monheim , where he died poor in 1760.
