Abraham Frowein (born February 20, 1847 in Elberfeld , † August 26, 1893 in Magglingen , Switzerland ) was a German textile manufacturer and politician.

Life

family

Abraham Frowein comes from a family that has been in Lennep since 1500 and in Elberfeld since 1600. He was the third son of seven children of the factory owner Louis Frowein (born February 19, 1808; † March 29, 1882) and his wife Julie von der Heydt (born January 27, 1810 in Haus Ahr, Möllen (Voerde) ; † 28. July 1916 in Elberfeld). He married Luise aus'm Weerth on August 16, 1877 (* March 25, 1856 - † September 4, 1916). They had six children together.

Partner

The lawyer and court assessor a. D. Abraham Frowein (1847-1893) joined Frowein & Co. on January 1, 1875 as a partner . He headed the strand department . In department three, braids , barmer articles and trimmings were processed. The departments were located in Elberfeld Neumarkt 1.

Politician

Frowein was a German politician, he was an alderman in Elberfeld and from 1890-1892 a member of the Rhenish provincial parliament .
