Abraham Warzman ( Avi Wortzman )

Abraham Warzman ( Hebrew אַבְרָהָם וורצמן, also Avi Wartzman , Avi Wortzman or Avi Vertzman ; * October 29, 1970 in Be'er Scheva , Israel) is an Israeli minister , politician and Knesset member of the HaBajit haJehudi . He is with Ilanit Warzman ( Hebrew אִילָנִית וורצמן) married; they have four children together (as of 2011).

Life

Warzman studied at the Ohel Shlomo Yeshiva in Be'er Scheva, which is close to the Bne Akiwa . He also studied at the Merkas HaRaw Kook Yeshiva in Jerusalem .

He did military service in the Givʿati Brigade of the Israel Defense Forces as part of the Hesder Yeshivat Or Ezion ( Hebrew ישיבת אור עציון).

After completing his military service, he returned to Beersheba and founded Beit Moria Garin Torani in 1993, who worked in the education sector.

In 2008 he served as chairman of the United Religious Front in the local elections in Beersheba, with the alliance receiving three seats.

He was Vice Mayor of Beersheba, where he was responsible for community members and social welfare.

In 2008 he was a candidate for the party chairmanship of HaBajit haJehudi, which was thwarted by Daniel Herschkowitz 's successful candidacy .

Before the 2013 elections, Naftali Bennett commissioned him to run for the Knesset as a member of parliament and was placed 8th on the electoral list by HaBajit haJehudi. Since the party received 12 seats, he was able to join the Knesset as a member of parliament. He is the current Israeli Deputy Minister of Education.
