Deposition
The deposition as a mechanical separation process used to separate mixtures (eg. As emulsions , suspensions or aerosols ). The goal - which in practice often cannot be achieved - is the complete removal of one or more constituents of the mixture of substances. The separation device is also referred to as a separator .
Examples of separators
- Grease separators for restaurants and other food processing companies
- Oil separator in the drainage of gas stations
- Water separator for mist in air conditioning
- Oil separator in the compressed air supply
- Filters for dedusting
- Wet separator
- Oil mist separator
- Bag filter
- Air separator in milk tankers and milk reception in the dairy
- Magnetic separator in waste sorting
