Absolut relax is a private radio broadcaster owned by Absolut Digital GmbH & Co. KG and was broadcast via DAB + in Bavaria and Hesse as well as online until September 5, 2013 . It is the sister station of Absolut musicXL and Absolut HOT .
On September 6, 2013, Absolut relax replaced the sister station Absolut Radio in the nationwide DAB + ensemble. Since then, the program has been distributed exclusively via the Internet. At the same time, the new youth program Absolut HOT was activated on the broadcast slots of Absolut relax in Bavaria and Hesse . Absolut HOT started its program at 6:05 am.
history
Absolut relax is broadcast online and via DAB + as a subsidiary of Absolut Radio . At the start, the transmission area was limited to the digital terrestrial network in Bavaria . On April 6, 2012, the distribution began in the Rhine-Main area via the locations Großer Feldberg and Frankfurt / Europaturm . This means that Absolut relax can be received via antenna in almost all of Bavaria and in Frankfurt am Main , Offenbach am Main , Mainz , Darmstadt and Wiesbaden .
The station is based in the Regensburg radio station , where Absolut musicXL is also produced.
Program and music
Absolut relax's program consists exclusively of titles from the genres of pop and soft rock and is interrupted on the hour by news or magazine articles. Monday to Friday, the music program from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m., 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. is supplemented by moderation contributions. In contrast to other stations with a rarely updated music rotation, new and sometimes unknown titles are regularly added to the Absolut relax program.
Like Absolut musicXL, Absolut relax wants to be an alternative to the usual radio stations. The “on air” offer is to be supported by online activities on the company's own website and in social media channels.

Absolut relax offers additional services and title information on its website, a live stream of the program and several topic-related blogs . The station is also represented on Facebook.
