The Abteiberg 7 residential and commercial building is in the Gladbach district of the city of Mönchengladbach in North Rhine-Westphalia . It was built in 1883. The house was entered under no. A 014 on December 10, 1985 in the monuments list of the city of Mönchengladbach .
location
The Abteiberg street is a street that descends from the Alter Markt to the Geroweiher. The building stands opposite the retaining wall that borders the Abbey Mountain in the west, in the still intact area of the old town.
architecture
Three-and-a-half storey brick house on two axes with a flat roof in the still intact remaining area of the old town. Unplastered front side in gothic stone structure . Scheit accessible covered window openings with profiled jamb , by Sohlgesimse connected by aufgekröpfte Verdachungsgesimse and rosette decorated Fries fields crowned.
On the ground floor, original shop fittings across the entire width of the house, low plastered plinth, square cast iron pieces , architraved lintel beams, high frieze, above an ornamented frieze band that connects to the cornice of the 1st floor. On the 2nd floor there is an inscription with the year of construction. In the upper mezzanine there are two window slots, a horizontal end with a pointed arch frieze, cornice and low parapet , square corner pinnacles , coinciding on the left with the neighboring house, pinnacles unfortunately lost. Two-winged wooden windows without skylight, metal windows in the shop and a modern entrance door.
