Abul Qasem Foushanji

Abul Qasem Foushanji (* 1987 in Herat ) is an Afghan photographer , painter and bass player .

life and work

Foushanji lived in Iran with his family for 18 years. Between 2006 and 2008 he lived in India. His artistic role models are Clyfford Still , Jackson Pollock , Led Zeppelin , Marilyn Manson and Cannibal Corpse . Foushanji "creates works that conjure up and examine the darker side of human nature."

He is the bass player for the progressive metal band District Unknown .

In 2012 Abul Qasem Foushanji was a participant of dOCUMENTA (13) in Kassel.
