Csaba Köves (born October 27, 1966 in Budapest ) is a former Hungarian saber fencer .

successes

Csaba Köves was world champion with the team in 1991 in his native Budapest and in 1993 in Essen . In addition, he became vice world champion with her in Lyon in 1990 and in Athens in 1994 and won the bronze medal in The Hague in 1995 and in Cape Town in 1997 . At the European Championships in 1993 in Linz, he finished second. He took part in the Olympic Games three times : at the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona, on the way to the final, he and the Hungarian team were only defeated in the preliminary round to the United team , which also met in the battle for the Olympic victory. Once again Hungary was left behind, this time with 5: 9, so that Köves received the silver medal together with Imre Bujdosó , Péter Abay , György Nébald and Bence Szabó .
