Achille Funi

Achille Funi (born February 26, 1890 in Ferrara , † July 26, 1972 in Appiano Gentile near Como ) was an Italian painter.

Achille Funi studied at the Accademia di Brera in Milan until 1910 . At the beginning of his artistic career he painted in the futuristic style. From 1920 he turned to neoclassical realism . From 1939 to 1960 he taught at the Art Academy in Brera .

His work Autoritratto da giovane (Young Man, Self-Portrait) , 1924, is in the Museo Cantonale d'Arte in Lugano .
