Acosta is a small moon crater in the eastern foothills of Mare Fecunditatis , north of the striking Langrenus crater . A group of three craters emerges to the west, formed by the Atwood , Bilharz and Naonobu craters . Some distance to the north is Webb Crater .
Acosta is circular and bowl-shaped and shows a small crater floor in the center of the sloping inner walls. The crater was referred to as Langrenus C before it was given its current name by the IAU in 1976 .
