Acrometopa is agenus of locusts from the subfamily of the sickle horror (Phaneropterinae).
features
The disc is rounded and merges with the paranota , which is dorsal at the front edge. The legs are long. There are thorns on the ventral edges of the femora . The anterior tibiae are greatly expanded at their base. The tympana are directed forward. Males are easily parapter , females are mesopters . The cerci of the males are long and their subgenital plate is more or less severely incised. The ovipositor is sickle-shaped. The basic color is green. The stridulation organs are often tanned. The antennae are two to three times as long as the body.
Occurrence
The genus occurs in the Mediterranean area.
