Acta Chemica Scandinavica (abbreviated Acta Chem. Scand. ) Was a chemical journal that appeared monthly between 1947 and 1999.

The national chemical societies of Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden founded the publishers association (Förlagsföreningen) Acta Chemica Scandinavica in 1946 . The first edition appeared in 1947. The headquarters of the association was located at the Swedish Chemical Society in Stockholm .

Between 1974 and 1988 two series were published:

  • Acta Chemica Scandinavica Ser. A (physical and inorganic chemistry)
  • Acta Chemica Scandinavica Ser. B (Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry)

At the end of 1999, the journal was merged with the publications of the Royal Society of Chemistry , the Dalton Transactions , Perkin Transactions 1 and Perkin Transactions 2 and no longer continued independently under its own name. The two Perkin Transactions journals were subsequently combined to form Organic and Biomolecular Chemistry .
