Dalton Transactions , abbreviated to Dalton Trans. , Is a weekly journal of the Royal Society of Chemistry . The first edition was published in 2003. The published articles cover the areas of organometallic chemistry , catalysis , bioinorganic chemistry , solid state chemistry and coordination chemistry .

The previous journal was the Journal of the Chemical Society , which was split into four separate titles in 1965. The title of the follow-up journal, from which Dalton Transactions finally emerged , has since been changed several times:
