Actidium boudieri is a beetle fromthe dwarf beetle family (Ptiliidae).

features

The beetles reach a body length of 0.5 to 0.63 millimeters and have a brown-black, almost matt body color. The antennae and legs are dark brown. The wings are ovate, rounded on the sides and slightly shorter than in the related species. The body is also more arched than this one. The pronotum is narrower than the wings and laterally beveled at the rear corners and indistinctly flared.

Occurrence and way of life

The species occurs in Central and Southern Europe and parts of Eastern Europe. In the south it is known from France via Italy and Croatia to Greece and Cyprus, in the north the distribution border runs through Germany and Denmark, the Baltic States and western Russia. The animals inhabit alluvial plant material on the banks of the water.
