Ada Feinberg-Sereni

Ada Feinberg-Sereni ( Hebrew עדה פיינברג-סירני, * April 22, 1930 in Rome ) is a former Israeli politician who was a member of the Knesset for the leftist party alliance HaMa'arach from 1969 to 1974 .

Life

Ada Feinberg-Sireni was born in Rome in 1930. In 1934 her family emigrated from Italy to the Palestine of the Mandate period , where Feinberg-Sereni grew up in Tel Aviv and attended the Hebrew Herzlia-Gymnasium .

She joined the of the Palmach organized Scout Organization Tzofim ( Hebrew התאחדות הצופים והצופות בישראל Hit'ahdut HaTzofim VeHaTzofot BeYisrael ) and was one of the founders of Kibbutz Jir'on. She was a teacher at the local Anne Frank School and works in the kibbutz movement . From 1983 to 1985 coordinator of the youth movement of the united kibbutz movement ( Hatakam ).

In the election for the 7th Knesset on October 28, 1969, she ran for the HaMa'arach and was a member of parliament from November 17, 1969 to January 21, 1974. In this role she worked on the Education and Culture Committee.

Her uncle Enzo Sereni was a member of a group of parachutists from the British SOE who jumped over German-occupied northern Italy in 1944, were captured by the Germans and murdered in the Dachau concentration camp.
