Adalbero I of Bar
Adalbero I. von Bar († 962 in Sint-Truiden ) was Bishop of Metz .
Adalbero was the son of Count Palatine Wigerich zu Herstal ( Wigeriche ) and Kunigunde . He was one of the most distinguished prelates of his time. He defended the diocese of Metz against King Otto I , whom he joined after the reconciliation of the royal houses.
Adalbero was removed from the office of bishop in 954 by Duke Konrad and spent the time until his death in 962 in the abbey of Sint-Truiden .
