Adalbert-Gautier Hamman (born June 14, 1910 in Rahling , † July 20, 2000 in Paris ) was a French Franciscan (OFM) and church historian .

Life

Since 1928 he was a Franciscan, theologian, professor of theology and patristics and taught in Rome and Canada. He has translated many ancient Latin and Greek texts.

He founded Ichtus. Lettres chrétiennes , Pères dans la foi , Bibliothèque , the translations of Christian texts from the first centuries. He was the literary director of the Migne editions for a long time.
