The building at Adalbertstrasse 53 in the Maxvorstadt district of the Bavarian capital of Munich is a protected monument .

description

The four-story tenement house in Adalbertstrasse was built in 1882/83 for the building contractor Johann Widmann, who owned numerous pieces of land in Maxvorstadt. The neo-renaissance building in the corner, with three window axes on Schraudolphstrasse and five axes on Adalbertstrasse, has a brick-faced facade with a bay tower . A high barrel vault spans the house entrance in the central axis. The ground floor is provided with a plaster rustics and the windows are surrounded with plaster framed. The tower bay from the first floor to the roof is crowned by a tent roof. In the middle of the facade on Schraudolphstraße there is a flat bay window.
