Adam Abt (born May 24, 1885 in Mainz , † October 13, 1918 in Darmstadt ) was a German classical philologist .

Life

After attending grammar school in Mainz, he studied from 1903 to 1907 in Freiburg i. Br. , Munich and Giessen Classical Philology. In Gießen he received his doctorate on December 15, 1907 with Richard Wünsch with a thesis on the Apology of Apuleius . Then he was involved in editing the Berlin Magic Papyri . He was also active in the field of folklore. He fell in the First World War .
