Adam Fosshag

Adam Foßhag (born January 2, 1879 in Unter-Sensbach ; † April 14, 1956 in Rüsselsheim ) was a German teacher and local researcher .

Fosshag was born as the son of the master blacksmith and innkeeper Johann Peter Foßhag. For many years he worked as a teacher at the school of royal cities . During this time he devoted himself to researching the history of the village. In 1949 he published an excerpt of his comprehensive results as a reproduced manuscript. The work did not appear in print until three years later.

For his life's work, Fosshag was made an honorary citizen of royal cities . A street was named after him in the center of the village.

One of his grandchildren is the graphic designer and illustrator Bengt Fosshag .
