Adam Kokoszka (born October 6, 1986 in Andrychów ) is a Polish football player .

Career

society

Kokoszka first joined his hometown club AKS Beskid Andrychów as a child . In his youth he moved to the first division club Wisła Kraków , where he came to the second team at the age of 16. In the 2005/2006 season, the central defender was already part of the extended first division squad and the following year, on August 4, 2006, he completed his first first division appearance over 90 minutes. Shortly afterwards, he even played a full UEFA Cup game for Kraków. He was used a total of 11 times in his first year in the Ekstraklasa.

The following year was very successful for the club. Kokoskzka missed the first half of the season, but was then used regularly. In the end he was part of the 2008 championship team and narrowly missed the double due to a defeat in the cup final on penalties. In 2008 he moved to Italy for FC Empoli after disputes with the board of Wisła Krakow . In Serie B , Adam Kokoszka was part of the regular cast in the first two seasons. However, that changed in the 2010/11 season and he was only used once in the entire first half of the season. For the second half of the season he was loaned to Polonia Warsaw until the end of the season, who signed him firmly in the summer of 2011.

At the end of February 2013, Kokoszka moved to the league rivals and reigning champions Śląsk Wrocław . Here he was always a regular player and came to 45 league games in 1.5 years. After his contract expired, Adam Kokoszka moved to Russia on July 1, 2014 for a free transfer to the newly promoted Torpedo Moscow . Previous newspaper reports that he was supposed to join the Israeli club Beitar Jerusalem have turned out to be false. He was a regular at the Moscow Club. Kokoszka terminated the contract with Torpedo Moscow in April 2015 after the club had not paid his salary for months. He then signed a contract with his previous club Śląsk Wrocław.

National team

Even in his youth, Adam Kokoszka was a candidate for the junior national teams of Poland. In the year of his big breakthrough, he played a full-distance international match for the first time on December 6, 2006 with the national team in the United Arab Emirates. In his second game against Estonia, he scored his first national team goal in a 4-0 win.

He was also used in the European Championship qualification and was consequently also in Poland's 23 squad for the 2008 European Football Championship in Austria and Switzerland. He has not been nominated since the end of 2009. It was not until 2014 that he was used again in a friendly against the Republic of Moldova .
