Adam Aleksander Leszczyc Bróg Miłaszewski (born December 11, 1827 in Bursztyn , † September 25, 1893 in Kraków ) was a Polish theater director, director and actor.

Miłaszewski initially worked in trade and in 1848 went to Lemberg as the secretary of Prince Jabłonowski. In 1850 he made his debut as an actor at the theater of the city and took part in guest performances in Lemberg, the cities of Galicia and Vienna in the following years. In 1856 he married the actress Joanna Kotowska . From 1856 to 1860 he directed the theater in Zhytomyr. He then made guest appearances in Mogilev, Vitebsk and Minsk and from 1862–63 in several cities in Eastern Galicia. Members of his troupe at that time included Wincenty Rapacki and Helena Modrzejewska .

In 1863 he became director of the theater in Cracow, and in 1864 he also took over the management of the Lviv theater. Overwhelmed by the double task, he gave up the job in Cracow in 1865. In Lemberg he increasingly brought new dramas and tragedies to the stage and, in order to improve the financial situation of the house, also took up a lighter repertoire (operetta). Miłaszewski was an energetic administrator, but was not considered sufficiently educated and artistically cultured, so that tensions within the house increased. In 1872 he was therefore forced to give up the management.

He then tried unsuccessfully to gain a foothold in Warsaw and Saint Petersburg and then worked for several years in Krakow. In 1881 he took over again the management of the theater in Lviv. Although he brought a good repertoire and actors like Romana Popiel , Wincenty Rapacki , Jan Walery Królikowski , Bolesław Ładnowski , Józef Rychter and Sarah Bernhardt to the stage, he did not manage to win the favor of the audience and the press and had to after two seasons step back again. In 1886 he tried again - and this time unsuccessfully - to direct the Lviv Theater. Then he ended his stage career. He went to Krakow, where he was a member of the city council for some time.
