Adam Petrouš (born September 19, 1977 in Prague , Czech Republic ) is a Czech football player .

Club career

Adam Petrouš played for Slavia Prague in his youth . In 1996/97, the defender moved on loan to city rivals Bohemians Prague and made his first appearances in the 1st Czech league. At the beginning of 1998 he was brought back from Slavia and immediately became part of the regular formation. On February 13, 2002 he made his debut against Cyprus for the Czech national team .

In early 2004 Petrouš went to the Russian league to Rubin Kazan , where he only stayed one season and was then loaned to FK Austria Wien . In the summer of 2005 he was signed by Sparta Prague , but changed employers again after only six months when he signed with the Turkish first division club Ankaraspor in January 2006 .

In 2007 Petrouš went to Slovan Liberec , in January 2008 he was loaned to FC Erzgebirge Aue until the end of the season. However, he was suspended shortly before the end of the season because he was no longer interested in training. In July 2008, Petrouš moved to the Austrian second division club FC Admira Wacker Mödling . In July 2009 he moved to FK Viktoria Žižkov .

His brother Michal Petrouš, who is almost eight years older, is a former professional player who also played for Slavia and Bohemians, among others.
