Epitaph and tombstone

Epitaph Adam von Königsmarcks, Brandenburg Cathedral

There are two works of art for Adam von Königsmarck in the Brandenburg Cathedral that depict him. His relief-like grave slab was placed in the entrance area. There is also his epitaph in the central nave. This is attributed to the sculptor Christoph Dehne , although this is controversial due to deviations from other works by the artist. The epitaph made of marble and alabaster shows the resurrection of Jesus Christ or the Ascension of Christ in the lunette , in the middle area a representation of the Last Judgment before which the figure of Adam von Königsmarck is shown kneeling and praying in about three-quarters life size on the left , and in the Predella the resurrection of the dead according to Ezekiel . Furthermore, virtues are depicted and naked figures are placed.
