The Adams Fjord (also known as Seven Bay and Russian Бухта Семерка Buchta Semerka ) is a fjord about 21 km in length in the northeast section of the Amundsen Bay immediately south of Mount Riiser-Larsen in the East Antarctic Enderbyland .
He was photographed and mapped during an overflight as part of the Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions in 1956. During the 1958 expedition, the team led by the Australian polar explorer Phillip Law sailed this fjord on February 14 and landed at the foot of Mount Riiser-Larsen. The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia (ANCA) named the fjord after the New Zealander Ian Leonard Adams (1925-2003), officer on duty at Mawson Station in 1958.
