The house Adelheidring 17 is a listed residential building in Magdeburg in Saxony-Anhalt .

location

It is located in the Stadtfeld Ost district of Magdeburg on the west side of Adelheidring street in an acute-angled corner between Adelheidring and Bakestrasse. Adelheidring 16 , which is also listed, is adjacent to the north .

Architecture and history

The three-storey building was built in 1903/04 according to plans by Friedrich Willwoldt . The south corner of the representatively designed building is emphasized by a slender polygonal tower crowned by a pointed helmet. The façades of the house have risalit-like box oriels spanned by gables. There are geometrically designed decorations in Art Nouveau forms .

Large four and six-room apartments are housed inside the building.

The building is considered a testimony to upscale apartment buildings from the beginning of the 20th century. Together with the buildings adjoining to the north, it is seen as defining the street scene.

In the local register of monuments , the house is listed as a monument under registration number 094 16759 .
