Adept Technology
Adept Technology GmbH (also adept for short ) is a formerly listed manufacturer of automation technology from Pleasanton , in the US state of California . The focus is on industrial automation technology and robotics as well as associated control software and machine vision .
Adept was founded in 1983 as a division of the robotics manufacturer Unimation and is now the largest US robotics manufacturer and the world's largest manufacturer of SCARA robots . Adept has several secondary offices in the United States, as well as in Dortmund , Paris and Singapore . In 2015, Adept was acquired by Omron .
