Career

2008–2014: First studio album Adiam Dymott and break

Adiam grew up in the Swedish university city of Uppsala and after finishing school moved to Stockholm , where she initially worked as a receptionist in a recording studio . Over time, Adiam was allowed to step in as a singer for various songwriters and music producers . This gave her the taste for making her own record. In Thomas Rusiak , who has made a name for himself in Sweden as a rapper and music producer, she found an advocate and supporter. He made her first demo recordings possible in 2008 and then helped her with the production of her first album.

Adiam had her breakthrough in Sweden in winter 2009 under the name "Adiam Dymott" with the song Miss you , which she presented during a live performance at the 'P3-Gala' - the presentation of the Swedish music award P3 Guld . The audience and critics were so impressed by the young singer that she was literally showered with praise afterwards. Miss you rose to number 1 on the Swedish ITunes sales charts. This created ideal conditions for Adiam to release her first album. "Adiam Dymott" was released on March 23, 2009 on an indie label . In the Sverigetopplistan , the Swedish charts, it immediately reached number 14.

Stylistically, Adiam orientated himself idiosyncratically towards the categories hip-hop , rock and soul . You yourself find it difficult to make a more precise assignment: "Perhaps I could call it rock with big beats and soft melodies? Or a concentrated blast? No, I really don't know. We've created our own little world, me and Thomas. " Statements like these suggest that Adiam and Rusiak should be viewed as a musical duo . Both work equally on the compositions. With his contacts in the Swedish music scene, Rusiak also ensured that well-known guitarists such as Harri Mänty and Mattias Bärjed were involved in the production of the album and the subsequent concert appearances.

Adiam first attracted modest international attention when she was nominated for the MTV Europe Music Awards 2009 in the Best Swedish Act category . In Germany she first attracted attention through her appearance at the premiere of the film Inglourious Basterds in Berlin.

In May 2010 Catch me if you can was released - a duet with Björn Dixgård from the Swedish band Mando Diao .

2015- return to music with Black Wedding

In 2015 she released the songs Dark Lake and Desert Island under the name "Adiam" , which were combined on an EP with three remixes by Dark Lake . This EP is called Dark Lake (EP 1) . She could also be heard on the song Champagne Problems by the band Dante ). In 2016 the song Quiet Desperation followed and later Runaway . Together with the tracks Quiet Desperation (Symbiz Sound Remix) , Runaway (Exile remix feat. Blu) and Runaway (Robot Koch Remix) , the two songs are featured on Quiet Desperation (EP2) , which was released on March 25, 2016. To Dark Lake , Desert Iceland , Quiet Desperation and Runaway there on Adiams YouTube channel called "mood video".

On May 20, 2016, the single Dead Girl Walking was released together with a music video that was made in Berlin and Stockholm and in which she can be seen together with her four sisters, among others. Her album Black Wedding was released on August 26, 2016 and received good reviews. She previously released the single Fearless .
