Adolf Böhm (politician)

Adolf Böhm (born January 15, 1937 in Würbenthal ; † December 16, 2000 in Wurzen ) was a German water management engineer as well as a politician ( CDU ) and member of the Saxon state parliament .

Life

After primary school, Adolf Böhm did an apprenticeship as a technical draftsman and completed a degree in hydraulic engineering at the engineering school for water management in Magdeburg . In 1959 he became construction manager for the black water laying in Hoyerswerda , 1960 to 1964 he was works manager of the water management company of the city of Wurzen, 1964 to 1975 operational area manager at VEB WAB Leipzig. From 1975 to 1990 he worked as a research assistant at the Water Technology Research Center in Leipzig and since 1990 he has been working as a freelance engineer with a water technology office. 1981 to 1990 he was the company union leader in the research center for water technology.

Adolf Böhm was a Roman Catholic, married and has 2 grown children.

Adolf Böhm was a member of the CDU from 1962 and was a member of the CDU district committee in Wurzen from 1965 to 1975, including deputy district chairman from 1970 to 1975. From 1973 he was also a member of the Leipzig District Board. In 1975 he was convicted of defamation of the state, received a party penalty, a reprimand and was removed from all political offices. After the turnaround in 1990 he was again a member of the CDU's Wurzen district executive.

In the state election in Saxony in 1990 , he was elected to the state parliament in October 1990 for constituency 3 (Wurzen) with a constituency result of 47.0%. There he sat for his group on the environment committee . After he left the state parliament in February 1991, Klaus Günther replaced him.
