The NDV Neue Darmstädter Verlagsanstalt is a specialist publisher for parliamentary and political information founded in Darmstadt in 1949 .

The NDV was founded in Darmstadt in 1949 as a GmbH by Adolf Holzapfel . The minutes of the Darmstadt Talks held from 1950 onwards were among the first titles in the publishing program . The Official Handbook of the German Bundestag and Kürschner's People's Handbook have been published since 1953 . In 1958 Holzapfel died, his son Klaus-Jürgen took over the publishing business.

The orientation of the publishing program towards political and parliamentary information made it necessary to move to the vicinity of the then capital Bonn at the beginning of the 1970s . To this day, the NDV has its headquarters in Rheinbreitbach .

Today the NDV is managed by the grandson of the publisher's founder Andreas Holzapfel. Since summer 2011 , the NDV has been named Kürschner Political Contacts .

The NDV publishes books that provide information on the biographical details of MPs and the composition and functioning of German parliaments . The best-known title is the red-and-white striped Kürschner Volks Handbuch Deutscher Bundestag.
