Adolf Alexander Dillens , also Adolphe Alexandre Dillens (born January 2 or January 9, 1821 in Ghent , † January 1, 1877 in Brussels ) was a Belgian painter .

Dillens learned painting from his older brother Hendrik Joseph Dillens , began with the historical genre and won an award for his pictures The Five Senses and The Sunday in Flanders, which were exhibited in Brussels in 1848 .

A visit to Zeeland meant that from then on he depicted the inhabitants of this Dutch province in all their costumes and customs. He died in Brussels in January 1877.
