Adolf Laudon (born December 13, 1912 - November 22, 1984 ) was an Austrian football player . The striker won the silver medal with the Austrian amateur selection at the 1936 Olympic Games in Berlin .

Career

Adolf Laudon came to Salzburg from Admira and played in the SAK 1914 in the Salzburg regional league. At that time, the league was aimed at amateur players and was not connected to the professional Austrian championship, which at that time was limited to the Vienna area. With the Nonntalers, Adolf Laudon won the state championship several times and reached the finals of the amateur state championships twice , where he was used in all five final games - the playoff against Baden AC 1935 - and in the unfortunate 3-2 defeat scored a goal in the last play-off in Baden.

For the amateur national team, he played a total of 6 missions. He celebrated his premiere on June 26, 1932 in Pardubitz against Czechoslovakia as a player in Admira. Coach James Hogan took him, along with his club colleagues Karl and Edi Kainberger, to the Olympic Games in Berlin in 1936, where he was used as the right connector in all four Austrian games and also scored one goal each against Egypt and Poland. His last game for the amateur national team was the final against Italy, in which he and his team lost 2-1 in extra time.

After the tournament at the Olympic Games, Adolf Laudon moved to Vienna. With the Döblingern he won the cup competition in 1937, but was not used in the final. In the championship he finished third (1936/37) and fifth (1937/38) with his club. After that, he should have left the club, where and whether he had changed at all, but can no longer be tracked. In the 1943/44 season he returned to the Döblingern again and celebrated winning the Austrian championship title for the first time, although he was only used sporadically in this game year and his career was slowly coming to an end.
