Adolf Leichum

Adolf Leichum (* 1842 in Frankfurt am Main ; † May 1906 there ) was a German genre painter , lithographer and art teacher.

Life

From 1861 to 1863, Adolf Leichum received a scholarship from Jakob Becker at the Städelsche Kunstinstitut in Frankfurt am Main. Between 1865 and 1870 he stayed in Paris , where he studied at the École des Beaux-Arts . In 1875 Leichum was again a scholarship holder and student at the Städelsche Kunstinstitut in Frankfurt am Main, this time with Johann Heinrich Hasselhorst . In 1880 he passed his state examination as a drawing teacher in Düsseldorf. From 1881 he was a teacher at the Frankfurt School of Applied Arts.
