Adolf Locher

Adolf Locher (born December 21, 1906 in Altstätten ; † February 21, 1988 there ; Catholic , legal resident in Oberegg AI ) was a Swiss entrepreneur .

Life

Adolf Locher was born on December 21st, 1906 as the son of the ironmonger Adolf Locher Senior and Marie nee Zünd. In 1934, the graduate of the commercial school in Neuchâtel took over his father's hardware store in Altstätten, which he had modernized and expanded. In 1934 the company had eight employees, in 1976 it was over 400. Adolf Locher was the founder of the “Locher Hauser steel trading group” , which has been integrated into SFS Holding AG since 2000 .

Besides Adolf Locher from 1939 to 1945 in the council represented by Altstätten. In addition, from 1955 to 1986 he was a board member of the Altstätten Museum Society.

Adolf Locher, who was married to Martha, the daughter of the engineer Ferdinand Hälg, died on February 21, 1988 at the age of 81 in Altstätten.
