Adolf Pahl
Adolf Pahl (born January 31, 1925 in Schweinfurt ; † March 27, 2009 ) was a German homeland researcher.
Career
Pahl was born as the son of the Schweinfurt superstructure inspector and city archivist Joseph Pahl (1883–1963). In 1955 he received his doctorate at the Philosophical Faculty of the University of Würzburg and in the same year was entrusted with the part-time supervision of the City History Museum by Lord Mayor Ignaz Schön . In 1964 the management of the municipal collections was converted into a permanent position. In addition, he took over the management of the adult education center. In 1980 the municipal collections became an independent cultural institution under his direction. He retired on January 31, 1990.
