Adolf Paul (judge)

Adolf Paul (born September 23, 1890 in Lingelbach ; † March 21, 1979 ) was a German judge .

Life

The son of a Protestant pastor studied law at the University of Marburg . In the winter semester of 1908 he became a member of the Marburg fraternity Germania, to which his father Hans Paul (1864-1936) had also belonged. He passed the legal state exams in 1911 and 1916 with "good". In August 1918 he became a public prosecutor in Gliwice and in 1926 in Breslau. In November 1930 he was transferred to Celle and appointed to the higher regional judge. On September 1, 1939, he was appointed to the Reichsgericht as assistant judge. He was promoted to the Reich Court Council on April 1, 1941. He was initially an assistant judge in the 4th Civil Senate and then from 1940/41 in the III. Criminal Senate active until 1945. After the war he lived as a pensioner in Braunschweig until his death on March 21, 1979.
