Adolf Ruppelt

Adolf Ruppelt (born January 26, 1912 in Altona , † July 15, 1988 in Hamburg ) was a German Evangelical Lutheran clergyman. He was the second (and last) provost of the provost of South Holstein.

Life

Adolf Ruppelt studied Protestant theology and was ordained a pastor on September 26, 1943 in Gelting . From 1949 to November 1951 he was vicar at the Church of Resurrection in Hamburg-Lurup , and from December 1951 to November 1966 pastor at the Pauluskirche in Hamburg-Altona-Nord .

From December 1966 until his retirement on November 1, 1978, he was provost of the Altona provost (today the Hamburg-West / Südholstein parish ). Since 1962 he was a member of the church leadership of the Evangelical Lutheran Regional Church of Schleswig-Holstein .

In addition, from 1970 to 1976, as the successor to Karl Hasselmann, he was entrusted with episcopal duties as provost of the Provosty of South Holstein , which was established in 1952 and which was repealed in the course of the formation of the North Elbian Evangelical Lutheran Church .
