Adolf Sonnenschein (administrative lawyer)

Adolf Hubert Sonnenschein (born May 12, 1886 in Elberfeld ; † 1965 ) was a German administrative lawyer and ministerial official . He was from 1922 to 1933 President of the Government of the administrative district Osnabrück .

Life

Adolf Sonnenschein was the son of the secret medical adviser and physician Heinrich Sonnenschein and Anna, née. Hopmann. After attending grammar schools in Elberfeld and Cologne , he studied law at the universities in Freiburg im Breisgau , Paris , Berlin and Bonn . He passed the legal traineeship exam in 1908, completed his legal preparatory service at courts and passed the assessor exam in February 1913. That same year he was the subject collateral property and securing usufruct in the system of fiduciary right to a doctor of law doctorate .

In 1914, Sonnenschein joined the Prussian judicial service as a court assessor and was appointed to Stettin as a public prosecutor in 1917 . In 1919 he went to the Cologne government as a district judge , where from 1920 he acted on a trial basis as legal advisor and as head of the department headed the propaganda organization for the occupied part of the Prussian Rhineland . His civil service career led him as a consultant to the Prussian Ministry of the Interior , where he was promoted to Ministerialrat in 1921. In 1922 he changed to the Prussian State Ministry in the same position . In August 1922 he was appointed regional president of the Osnabrück administrative district. He was a member of the Center Party .

After the National Socialists came to power , in March 1933, Sonnenschein was first put into temporary retirement, and later "definitively" retired under Section 4 of the Law to Restore the Civil Service .

Adolf Sonnenschein was married to Magda, b. Ions, and had three children.
