Adolf Wende

Adolf Wende (born April 3, 1873 in Winzig ; † after 1932) was a German farmer , landowner and politician ( DNVP ).

Life

Wende was born the son of a farmer. After attending elementary school and private school, he worked as a practical farmer from 1887 on his father's farm, which had been in the family's possession since 1779. From 1893 to 1895 he did military service with the 4th Lower Silesian Infantry Regiment No. 51 . From August 1914 to November 1918 he took part in the First World War as a soldier in the Landsturm Infantry Battalion Wohlau VI ( Landsturm Infantry Regiment No. 23 ) . He was initially a non-commissioned officer and was appointed sergeant on July 29, 1916 . During the war he was awarded the Iron Cross 2nd class .

In addition to his professional activity as a farmer and landowner, Wende was chairman of the Winzig Farmers' Association from 1903 and chairman of the Winzig gymnastics club from 1906. From 1906 to 1919 he acted as a district taxator for the Liegnitz- Wohlau principality landscape, then as a district taxator for the Wohlau district .

Wende had been chairman of the German National People's Party (DNVP) in the Wohlau district since 1919. In February 1921 he was elected as a member of the Prussian state parliament, to which he belonged until 1932. In parliament he represented constituency 7 (Breslau).
