Adolfskoog

The Adolfskoog is a Koog in Eiderstedt north of Uelvesbüll . It covers an area of ​​431 hectares and has a dike length of about 4200 meters. The Koog, inaugurated in 1579, was named after the Duke of Schleswig-Holstein-Gottorf Adolf I (1526–1586). Its south-western part belongs to the municipality of Uelvesbüll, its south-eastern part to Witzwort and its northern part to Simonsberg . The most famous building in the Koog is the Rote Haubarg .
