Adolph Saurer (born February 14, 1841 in Tablat ; † February 23, 1920 in Arbon , TG ) was a Swiss entrepreneur.

The son of Franz Saurer and Maria Catharina Saurer-Kunz took over the company F. Saurer & Söhne, domiciled in Arbon, in 1896 and developed it into a large industrial company that manufactured embroidery machines , weaving machines and trucks . When he died, the company in Arbon employed 2,918 people and had a turnover of 32.3 million Swiss francs . The stock corporation Adolph Saurer , founded shortly afterwards by the only son Hippolyt , forms the foundation of today's Saurer AG, a technology group that is active in textile machine construction and drive technology.
