Adrian Gontariu (born May 14, 1984 in Zalau ) is a Romanian national volleyball player .

Career

Adrian Gontariu has been playing volleyball in his homeland since 1993, where he won multiple Romanian championships and cup winners with Deltacons Tulcea and Tomis Constanţa . From 2009 to 2011, the diagonal player was active for the first time in the volleyball Bundesliga at VfB Friedrichshafen and was German champion twice during this time. After stints in Poland (champions with Asseco Resovia Rzeszów ), Romania and France, he has been back at VfB Friedrichshafen since the 2014/15 season , with whom he won the national championship and cup double in 2015. In 2016 Gontariu moved back to his homeland to Remat Zalau .

In the Romanian national team Gontariu had 100 appearances.
