Adrian Soniewicki

Adrian Soniewicki (born April 22, 1847 in Sosolówka in Galicia , † November 22, 1921 in Chernivtsi ) was a kk notary .

Life

Soniewicki comes from a noble family whose ancestors had their manor on "Synewódzko" in Galicia near Lemberg . Due to his democratic convictions, however, he did not hold a title of nobility. As the son of the gr.-cath. Dome of Honor was born in Sosolówka in Galicia , attended the Imperial and Royal High School in Chernivtsi, where he graduated with distinction in 1865. He studied law and political science at Lviv University and graduated in law in 1869.

He was the father of Maximilian Soniewicki, his only son, who was a member of the Bukovinian state government in the office of an Imperial and Royal State Government and was also appointed a notary. He had seven siblings, two of whom were brothers (Andrzej Soniewicki and Nestor Soniewicki) consistorial councilors in Galicia, one brother (Porfiry Soniewicki) a major in the kk Landwehr Infantry Regiment No. 18 in Przemysl, and one brother (Klemens Soniewicki) a gr. -kath. Was a priest.

Professional background

In 1873 he began working in a notary's office in Unter-Stanestie on Czeremosz, in Zastawna, Chernivtsi, where he was made an honorary citizen of the municipality in 1898. Since his appointment as a notary he has been a member and vice-chairman of the Bukovinian Chamber of Notaries until 1904 .

He was an honorary member of the Catholic-German academic association “Frankonia”, an honorary member of the Catholic men's association “Friendship”, founder of the association “Ruski narodny Dom” and co-founder of many charities.
