Adrian Spyrka

Adrian Spyrka (born August 1, 1967 in Zabrze , Poland ) is a former German soccer player .

Career

The Polish- born defender and midfielder was active in professional football for 16 years. In his youth he played numerous international matches in youth teams of the DFB . In 1986 Borussia Dortmund brought the then 19-year-old to them. It was there that he made his first Bundesliga appearances . But neither there nor at his other clubs, with which he played in the first division, was he able to assert himself in the top German division in the long term. In the 2nd Bundesliga, however, he always brought solid and consistent performances. Six years with 1. FSV Mainz 05 is the longest time he has stayed with a club. There he ended his active career in 2002.

In June 2007 he became assistant coach at 1. FC Saarbrücken , and from January 2009 he was coach of the SV Wehen Wiesbaden regional league team . Between 2010 and 2017 Spyrka was an assistant trainer at Borussia Mönchengladbach's U-23 .
