Adriana Benetti

Adriana Benetti (born December 4, 1919 in Comacchio , † February 24, 2016 ) was an Italian actress .

Life

After her acting diploma at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia, Benetti received the offer for the - tailor-made - leading role of shy and sensible Teresa in Vittorio De Sicas Teresa Venerdi , which brought her a great success. However, this success also meant that her subsequent film roles only offered blueprints of this characterization and she was cast again and again as a sensitive, reserved young woman. The brown-haired, delicate and always melancholy-looking Benetti thus became the embodiment of the Italian fiancé throughout the decade; In order to escape this cliché, after almost ten years of fulfilling the cliché (only the raffle from 1947 , paradiso nero , with the figure of a young woman driven into prostitution to overcome the post-war hardship), she turned it into a little successful breakout at the cash registers) in Spain and Argentina , including the first Argentinian film with international recognition and awards, Bloody Waters . No longer active after 1957, it is almost forgotten today.

In 1947, Benetti caused a minor scandal when she posed in a bikini for the weekly magazine "Tempo illustrato".
