Adriana Kučerová (born February 24, 1976 in Lučenec ) is a Slovak opera singer ( soprano ).

Life

At the age of 22, she dropped out of teaching at the Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica to pursue a musical career. She attended the Conservatoire national supérieur de musique et de danse in Lyon and the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava . Adriana Kučerová won the European Youth Music Prize in Hamburg in 2001 and the International Hans Gabor Belvedere Singing Competition in the field of opera at the Vienna Chamber Opera in 2005 . She had engagements a. as Serpetta in La finta giardiniera during the Salzburg Festival 2006, in Dido and Aeneas at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan, in L'elisir d'amore and Il barbiere di Siviglia at the Vienna State Opera . or as Sophie in a production by Werther at the Bavarian State Opera .
